Frequently Asked Questions
How do we get started?
What's entailed in a FREE Consultation Call?
A Consultation Call is basically the first phone call so we can both get to know each other and decide if our services are the right fit for you. It's your chance to get to know Pink Parrott and it's a FREE call.

What's the difference between you and a venue coordinator?
A venue coordinator is responsible for overseeing the set-up, food and beverage, and logistics as it relates directly to the venue. Even though a venue coordinator will advise they can run your wedding day logistics, their time and best interest is for the venue, so their focus will be on the venue on the day-of vs. you - the client. A wedding planner will coordinate and manage ALL arrangements and details of your wedding (e.g., vendor contract management, day-of timelines, etc.).

Where do you plan weddings? Do you travel?
We are based in Jacksonville, Florida, but are available to plan weddings all over northeast Florida (if more than 90 miles there will be a mileage charge), so reach out to us today!

What is the average cost of a wedding in the Jacksonville/Northeast Florida area?
The average cost of a wedding is approximately $30,000.

Do you work with same-sex/LGBTQ+ couples?
You betcha! We love LOVE in all sizes, shapes, and forms, and we love to manage same-sex/LGBTQ+ weddings!

Do you work with clients that do not live in the area?
But, of course! We're very familiar with the area after having lived in Northeast Florida for almost 40 years.
Where can we learn more about you?
Check us out on Instagram to see more recent events and some fun behind the scenes on our Instagram stories!

How many team members will be on-site on the day of our wedding?
This is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to guest count, the number of event locations and room resets, but usually at least two team members. During our consultation, we'll discuss your specific event needs.

Do you have multiple weddings on the same weekend?
Ah, no! Pink Parrott Weddings and Events limits the number of bookings per month to ensure excellent service to all our clients (and we love our feet too much lol).
Do you walk us through the process of selecting other vendors and reviewing their contracts?
Pink Parrott Weddings and Events only specializes in assisting their clients in wrapping up their details the client has planned for their big day. We do offer vendor sourcing and reviewing of contracts as part of our Wedding Management (day-of/month-of management) packages. Check out what's included in our packages here or contact us for more information.

Will you handle the invitations, from wording and ordering to the addressing, mailing, and keeping track of RSVPs?
This can be added to either of our packages. Please contact us for more info/pricing.

Do you carry personal liability and professional indemnity insurance?
Yes, Pink Parrott Weddings and Events, the business, is licensed and insured. It does not, however, cover the wedding couple and they need to look into purchasing personal event insurance.

Can you create a timeline to tell everyone involved in the planning process (venue, other vendors, members of the wedding party, the couple, and families) what to do and when to do it? How will you make sure everyone sticks to the schedule?
Yes, our role isn't just to manage the pros, but also your friends and family. We create an extensive timeline for all involved and the final version is given out at the Wedding Rehearsal before your event (also, the perfect window to update if there are any last-minute changes). How do we make sure everyone sticks to the schedule - we have had many years of experience with this task and team management, and are specialists in keeping everyone on time.
